Easter, the celebration of Christ's Resurrection, was celebrated on Sunday, April 16thand it marked the end of Holy Week. It is the most important celebration in our church calendar. This year we celebrated this season with full spirit and enthusiasm. Our Achan began this season with his house blessing visits to renew the spirit within our parish community. The retreat led by Fr. Davis Chiramel, the chairman of Kidney Federation of India, gave us an opportunity to rethink our own Christian way of life to receive Jesus in a renewed spirit of the season. The new chancellor of our diocese, Rev. Fr. Johnykutty George Puleessery was the main celebrant of the Holy Qurbana during our Holy Week celebrations. As Achan mentioned, the Passover is an invitation for us to be the Christ bearers, while Good Friday is Jesus’ obedience to His Father’s will in which God outsourced our punishments through His own Son’s Crucifixion. The Resurrection is the greatest miracle on earth which gives us hope to overcome our daily worries and struggles. We would like to give a special thanks and best wishes to Rev. Fr. Johnykutty George Puleessery for all his pastoral services. We also thank our Achan, Rev. Fr. Joshy Elambasseril for his dedicated presence and countless prayers to make this Holy Week spirit-filled. Special thanks to the Liturgy, Youth and adult Choir, Mathru Jyothis, CCD and all parishioners who volunteered in different tasks. Special appreciation goes to the parish council members' teamwork to coordinate everything in a timely manner. Thank you to all parishioners for their prayer support and active participation with their families.
