- Founding Members Honored in the Jubilee Year: The year 2025 marks the Jubilee Year of the St. Thomas Syro-Malabar Catholic Diocese of Chicago and the Episcopal Ordination Jubilee of Bishop Emeritus Mar Jacob Angadiath.
In this Jubilee Year, in a spirit of deep gratitude, we honored the pioneering founding members of our parish during the 8:30 am Holy Qurbana on Sunday, April 27, 2025. The Holy Qurbana was celebrated by Bishop Emeritus Mar Jacob Angadiath, who first came to Dallas in 1984 from Kerala as a priest to establish the Syro-Malabar Mission. Our Vicar, Rev. Fr. James Nirappel, and Rev. Fr. Joseph Puthoor also joined Bishop Emeritus Mar Jacob Angadiath in celebrating the Holy Qurbana.
During the gathering, Alex Kainikara and Joseph George (Kunjumon) shared memories of the early struggles and sacrifices made during the 1984-1985 period to establish our Dallas Mission.
We sincerely thank all our founding members for their vision, faith, hard work, and dedication, which helped establish not only the Dallas Mission but also laid the foundation for Syro-Malabar communities throughout the USA.
- Holy Qurbana at the UTD Catholic Center: This Wednesday, April 30, 2025, there will be a Holy Qurbana at the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD) Catholic Center, starting at 7:00 pm.
